I hope you’re all up to date with your units. If not, just take your time – enjoy the process!
This week we start to put our blocks together. I think you might be able to see a glimpse of what the end result will be.
We need 98 of the Unit C (flying geese) and all 196 of the Unit E (2 ½” squares) for this step.
First of all, you need to stitch a 2 ½” square to either side of the flying geese, as indicated in the picture below.
Chain piece these together and you should get it done really quickly!
When complete, you should have 98 of these units made, and they should measure 2 ½” x 8 ½”.
Place in a ziplock bag and label unit F for now.
A bit more sewing remains still!
Now we need 36 of our Unit D blocks and 36 of Unit B blocks.
Stitch a Unit B block to a Unit D block.
Label a ziplock bag with Unit G and put these 36 units aside for now.
