Show and tell - Rainbow socks!
Hi lovely readers.
I'm feeling quite irritable today, so I looked through my draft posts to show you something cheery, to remind myself that I shouldn't be irritable.
No great dramas here really, a few sad behind the scenes things are happening (always there are sad behind the scenes things, but this is my happy place hopefully).
Its cold and drizzly, and South Australia is 'back', so that means all the demands on my time are back. Which is all fine, but makes me grumpy sometimes.
If the covid virus has shown me one thing, it's shown me that I really would love to be a hermit, and only do things that I want to do, when I want to do them.
However that's not how life works, and so I'm back to the grindstone again. It is what it is, I guess.
So here's my rainbow socks!

Using up scraps
Looks okay, really. As with all my caps, it looks hideous on me but there you go.

130 Something Different
It's been a while since I've made a hat.
I always make them and they look so wonderful on the lovely lithe models they are shown on.
Then I put them on and as I have short hair, I end up looking like a cancer patient.
This one, despite how lovely it looks on this mannequin, looked absolutely dreadful on me.
So I'll add it to the donate pile, and I hope someone else manages to enjoy it.
Hope you're staying sane, and keeping well.

129 Spent my day sewing!
Not too much, mind you. The majority of the day was spent sorting fabric into little piles. I'd had this brilliant idea that I would not have duplicates of purples in this block:
but I also needed to have the same blacks in each block.
To add to the complication, I make two blocks at the one time, due to the Half Square triangles and the method I used to make the flying geese. So the maths needed was difficult. And as previously discussed, my brain is slowly turning to mush the longer this quarantining thing goes along.
But here is my end result!
Did you have a good day? Are you still shut in or are you allowed to be out and about a little more? We had paid to go to an AFL game before this all happened, they refunded our money the other day. There will be no crowds at any AFL games for a long time coming, I don't think. I wonder how that will effect everything.
Till tomorrow!
